Friend of 2nd Dynasty, Kathy Millatt has done an awesome diorama based around the Rampart fighter! The Rampart is available as a standalone or as a part of the Beowulf Kickstarter! Check out the video, and give Kathy a like, comment or sub!
Last night, we released the Free Trader Beowulf. Half a day later, we have funded completely, with the first stretch goal unlocked! Help support 2nd Dynasty’s most ambitious project!

In just a few more days, we go live with the Free Trader Beowulf Kickstarter campaign! In addition to offering our epic Free Trader STL files, for the first time we are also deriving beautiful deck plans from our models, for use in PDF/poster maps AND online VTT gaming.
Beowulf launches October 24th! Join 900 other fans waiting for the campaign to come out here.
Our brand new Shuttle Alpha variant has been released, the core files being available for download for all our Kickstarter backers, and anyone else who wants to purchase it.
Until August 3rd, we have an open funding period on FronTiers. What is FronTiers? It’s My Mini Factory’s new launch feature. FronTiers is a hybrid between the Kickstarter concept and a new release – the core files are released immediately, but for a limited time, there a Stretch Goal-like bonuses called Milestones. After this period, no more milestones are unlocked, but the files remain on the market.
Already we have unlocked an additional two milestones, which combined with the Kickstarter edition of the MK IV, includes a total of two ship designs and 8 variants.
Friend of 2nd Dynasty Kathy Millatt has printed and painted the Shuttle Alpha MK IV. Check it out.
July 5th through 18th, we have a Quickstarter on Kickstarter for our Shuttle Alpha MKIV, a new iteration and rejuvenation of the Shuttle Alpha MKIII with a brand new look, four times the fidelity, and a bunch of new features, including increased printer friendliness.
For more information about the campaign, see the Kickstarter Page. For more information on the new Shuttle Alpha MKIV, click here.
Hi guys, long time no hear! Yes, we only bother you when there is something new on the horizon, but in this case, it is something old made new!
In 2017, we launched our very first Kickstarter, Starship, and thanks to you guys, we started a journey that took us from a single hobbyist 3D artist to the team of four that 2nd Dynasty is today. We have made more than 10 full 28mm scale starships over the last five years, bringing amazing quality and detail to your tabletop…
But looking back, our original OpenLOCK tiles feel simplistic and dated by our current standards of detail, quality and printability. We wanted to do something about that, but we felt that it would not be right to Kickstart a revision of tiles you guys already funded.
And so we have partnered once again with My Mini Factory to deliver a serious upgrade to our original Starship tiles! Enter Starship: The Next Generation!
Launching on May 4th on My Mini Factory’s brand-new Frontiers platform, this campaign is small in scale, but huge in content! We have redesigned the Corridors and Engineering tiles from Starship, and come Wednesday, we are releasing all 130+ tiles live on Frontiers! No waiting for a Kickstarter to fund, end and deliver, you can get printing the very same day, and boy are these tiles a lot easier to print!
Here’s a few features:
For those of you who backed us way back when, we are offering the updated tiles for just $25 on day 1, but get in quick, as the price goes up for each day of the campaign, which ends June 3rd!
Although we don’t have a funding goal, we will feature new tiles and upgrades, allowing us to tackle curved walls, diagonals, stairs, ladders and more! The more funds we get in during the first 30 days, the more free stuff you guys get!
To get in on the action, and get this awesome free 28mm Landing Shuttle based on our Starfighters II line, sign up here to be notified when the campaign goes live!
Thank you for your past support, and hope to see you in this upcoming campaign!
This week we have launched a new video and started work on Deck Designer 2. We feel that we need to rebrand Deck Designer, as the name, out of context, is readily associated with card deck designing, which does not adequately convey its purpose.
Enter 3Dio Print Planner, 3Dio being short for 3D Diorama. It’s unofficial theme song is Holy Diver by Dio for obvious reasons.
Anyone who has purchased Deck Designer in the last six months will get a free upgrade. We will also be offering it as a part of our upcoming Tribes launch! More to come on that, in the meantime, enjoy the film.
We have partnered with Only Games to provide already printed options for a selection of our miniatures and set dressing pieces. Although we will be working in the future to reduce prices for set dressing, we have competative prices for our 28 and 32mm character miniatures.
Additionally, we have an introductory Black Friday/Week/Month offer for 20% off!
Use the code: 2ndD20 at checkout for 20% off your purchase!

We have successfully funded our 6th Kickstarter, Official Traveller RPG Miniatures, with over €63,000 in pledges. What a wonderful show of support, the Traveller community is alive and well. If you missed out on the campaign, we have the pledge manager already live for late pledges (although not yet for resolving Kickstarter pledges already pledged).
